On this Memorial Day, the Republican National Hispanic Assembly of San Diego extends our deepest gratitude and solemn remembrance to the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our nation.
Memorial Day is a time to honor those who have laid down their lives to protect the freedoms we hold dear. Their courage and selflessness have shaped the course of our history and continue to inspire us to uphold the values of faith, freedom, and family.
As we reflect on their sacrifices, we are reminded of the words of President Ronald Reagan: "Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same."
Let us honor their legacy by living lives worthy of their sacrifice, by standing united in our commitment to the principles they fought to preserve, and by ensuring that their memory endures in the hearts of future generations.
May we never forget that the freedoms we enjoy today have been secured through the valor and dedication of our fallen heroes.
