We're thrilled to announce that Leo Zacky, a candidate for California Governor, will be joining us as a special guest speaker on Monday, July 29th, 2024, at 7:00 PM. If the name "Zacky" rings a bell, it’s because Leo is part of the renowned Zacky Farms poultry family, a name synonymous with the American dream.

A Legacy of Hard Work and Success

Leo’s story begins with his great-grandfather, Samuel Zacky, who immigrated to California over a century ago. Samuel and his three sons turned a small chicken business into the highly successful Zacky Farms, a name that has been a cornerstone of California’s poultry industry for over 90 years. This entrepreneurial spirit and determination to succeed have been passed down through generations of the Zacky family.

Leo’s grandparents, Robert and Lillian Zacky, were instrumental in expanding Zacky Farms since 1955. Leo learned early on from his grandmother that “life is not fair,” a lesson that fueled his drive to work hard and persevere through both good and tough times.

From the Ground Up

As a teenager, Leo accompanied his grandmother to Sacramento and Washington, D.C., where she lobbied for the agriculture industry. These experiences laid the foundation for Leo's future as a lobbyist with the California Poultry Federation (CPF). He embodies the Zacky legacy with his entrepreneurial spirit, determination to succeed, and a passion for serving his state and country.

Business Acumen and Leadership

When the 2008 global recession threatened the family business, Leo, at just 20 years old, left college to help save Zacky Farms. He started at the bottom, learning every aspect of the business, often working alongside the workers to improve production and motivation. This hands-on approach prepared him for his future role as an executive within the company.

“During those years, I learned that everything has a cost,” Leo says. He traveled extensively throughout California, gaining a deep understanding of the diverse needs of the state’s regions and the myriad challenges businesses face. From dealing with California’s stringent regulations to managing natural resources, Leo has firsthand experience navigating the complexities that have hampered the state's economic growth.

Prepared to Lead

Leo’s extensive experience in the agricultural industry has positioned him in direct opposition to the excessive regulations, high taxes, and mismanagement that plague California. He’s seen the damage caused by these policies and is committed to reversing the tide. He’s not a career politician but a respected businessman with the knowledge and passion to implement real solutions.

As Governor, Leo aims to roll up his sleeves once more and tackle the corruption, mismanagement, and wasteful spending that have driven our state into the ground. He is dedicated to restoring California to its former glory by revitalizing businesses, retaining residents, and ensuring a prosperous future for all.
